Life Coaching: 12 Ways to Motivate Yourself:

Motivation is like the sparkplug of your car. Without it, you won’t go very far! Are there ways to keep yourself motivated? YES Of course! Below are twelve ways to motivate yourself all day long.

1. Set some goals, write them down, read them everyday!

Think about what you want in each aspects of your life ( professional, financial, family, friends, physical body, intellectual & Spiritual) and put your answers on paper. Simply read your goals whenever you need motivation. Reading your goals is one of the best stimulats there is.

2. Look at your tresor card.

Cut out pictures of your dreams ( house, boat, trips, ideal body, etc.) and put it in a large frame and hang it somewhere you will see it often. By visualizing your future that way will give you the necessary motivation to go towards the accomplishement of your dreams.

3. Listen to motivational CDs

Go to the library or order on the web some motivational CDs or audio recordings to elevate your spirit to higher and superior levels of accomplishement. Some of my favorite authors are Slavica Bogdanov, Anthony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Doreen Virtue etc.

4. Listen to motivational music

Whenever you feel the need to change your emotional state, listen to some motivational music  like ” The Eye of a Tiger ” (Rocky Theme) ” or ” We Are the Champion ” from Queen. Those are some of the best music to change your emotional state.

5. Have dinner with a Positive person

There is nothing more toxic in life then negative people. Run away from them immediatly. The next time your batteries are low, go have dinner with someone positive and motivated. His enthousiasm and motivation will reflect on you.

6. Read comments and feedback from satisfied customers.

If you already have a business and you don’t have written comments from customers, call your customers and ask them. Call your 20 best customers and ask them how they like doing business with you. Then ask them to write their answers down on paper. Not only this is a great selling tool, but these letters will bring back the motivation you need.

7. Ask for compliments

Ask your Boyfriend, Girlfriend or your best friend that they mention your best qualities. The same way that car needs gaz to move, humans need recognition to move forward.

8. Find a Partner.

If your lacking motivation in a certain project, like doing exercices, having someone with us is much more motivational then doing this alone.

9. Take some mental vacation.

When you feel you can’t take it anymore, drop everything and relaxe, close your eyes, take a deep breath. With the eyes shut, take 3 minutes to visualize your next vacation.

10. Take a Nap

Moste people lack of sleep. Resting is so important and is critical to your efficiency and to your level of motivation. If you feel the need, don’t hesitate to take a few minutes to rest or to take a nap.

11. Exercise

Exercise is an excellent outlet for stress. Your body and your spirit are related to one another. They are one. Exercising will give you energy and will free your spirit. Activate your body and your spirit will also activate.

12. Make yourself useful.

By seeking to help or please others, we stop being concerned about our problems and we stop thinking about only Our self. Strive to bring up a smile on the face of another person is very satisfying and gives you a sense of inner well being which in return will give you the necessary motivation to achieve your goals.

In conclusion remember that motivation is like taking a bath or a shower, it is something which you are responsible for and you should motivate yourself on a regular basis. And what is the best motivator? It is self-motivation. Do not wait for someone to motivate you because what will happen if no one shows up?
